Top Tips to Registering On-Line

1. FINDING THE LINK - Look for the link to on-line services on the index page of the Athletics and Recreation website www.macdonaldcampusathletics.mcgill.ca and on the following interior pages: Campus Recreation (Intramural Registration Info, Instructionals - Staff Fitness and Student Courses and General Membership Rates. A link is also available on the McGill portal (myMcGill).

2. HAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD READY – All on-line services accept payment by credit card (Visa and Mastercard) only. If you don’t have a credit card, purchase your services at the Stewart Athletic Complex where payment by cash, cheque or debit card is accepted. When prompted for CVV2 authorization, key in the last 3 digits of the numbers displayed in the signature area on the back of the card).

3. BUYING A MEMBERSHIP – Click on Program Registration / Sign up for a Program and choose the right session (Fall 2011). Click on Mac Memberships and choose the correct membership category: Semester Staff, Grad, Post-Grad, Sports Center.

Newly admitted McGill students will acquire access rights to On-Line Services two-weeks prior to the official start of classes.

During the fall and winter semesters all McGill students are members of the Stewart Athletics Complex (SC) by default once their student fees are paid.

Through the spring and summer months, full-time McGill students must purchase a summer membership in order to gain access to the Sports Complex.

Staff can purchase memberships on a per semester basis. See the Stewart Athletics Desk for further details.


Please note that memberships are updated nightly, so there may be a 24 hour delay before your ID card reflects your newly acquired membership.

4. RENTING A LOCKER AT MAC – All locker fees are $10 per semester at Stewart Athletics. Choose <<Rent a Locker>> to rent a locker and the <<View Locker>> option to renew.

Please be sure to check off the session so that the correct expiration date can be recorded in our records.

5. REGISTRATION FOR FITNESS CLASSES AT MAC – Click on Program Registration / Sign up for a Program and choose the right session (Fall 2011). Click on Mac Courses then view programs and choose your course. The first screen offers basic information (course description, beginning and end dates, day and time etc). For more information including the name of the instructor, location and the dates of all the classes click on View Details.

6. REGISTRATION FOR INTRAMURALS AT MAC – Click on Program Registration / Sign up for a Program and choose the right session (Fall 2011). Click on Mac Intramurals, then view programs and choose your sport. After paying the team entry fee, you have 24 hours to visit the Intramurals page on the Athletics and Recreation website in order to download, complete and email the excel roster form to Don Moffat. Once payment has been made and the registration form has been received, your team will be officially entered in the league.


7. A $1,000.00 MISTAKE – Don't panic... if you are faced with a $1,000.00 price tag it means you’re in the wrong place. Students who try to register in the Staff Fitness program or staff who try to buy a student Fitness Center membership will see a $1,000.00 fee. Go back and choose the appropriate membership type and try again.


8. WHAT ISN’T AVAILABLE ON LINE? – Community, Alumni and Non-McGill students may not yet use our on-line services. Refunds and some membership types and terms are only sold/processed at the Stewart Athletics Office during business hours. Day passes, and updating your personal information must be done at the front desk.
